Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary is coming up on September 10 and my siblings and I are planning a family get together to celebrate the occasion. At the get together we want to show a slideshow of pictures representing the past 50 years of events that have taken place during Mom and Dad's marriage. Lana and I got together a couple of months ago and went through several old slides that Bryan then scanned into the computer and I have been busy pulling together all of the digital pictures I had taken over the years. The problem, however, is that the slides stopped in the late 1970's and digital pictures didn't begin until 2001. Therefore, I had a gap in the sequence of pictures of about 20-25 years.
So, tonight after work I drove to Smithfield to see if I could find pictures from 1975-2000. Luckily for me, no one was home and I could look through the house without giving away what I was doing. (Mom and Dad left this morning for Spokane and Wendy is staying in Salt Lake for a couple of nights.) After a couple of hours of searching, I finally hit the jackpot with this big plastic bin. It was filled with tons of pictures and I was able to find several pictures to fill in the gap.
